Conviviality as the central subject of sustainable development
Conviviality is a topical theme across society. Conviviality means to feel welcome, a sense of hospitality, of sharing and friendship between people and generations. For this reason, its objectives can be presented within the framework of sustainable development. The final goal is to: Convey and exchange this conviviality, rooted into the local territory By offering common events to our partner territories (natural sites visits, farmers meetings and local produce tastings...), exchanging practices related to traditional local heritage (buildings, agricultural and cultural ), or going to partners meetings with a traveling version of a traditional oven, conveying the image of a mobile and generous culture.
The Pays of Bugey has no more folklore or deep rooted traditions in its territory but its conviviality is a timeless phenomenon. It's the center piece of the Leader strategy of the LAG of Bugey. No global action has been taken in this direction but many one-off interventions are implemented in the territory: enhancement of 'small build' heritage, welcoming of newcomers and promotion of the culture of Bugey with festivals and 'ovens celebrations' ...
→ Creating a link between people and maintaining social cohesion Dialogue between the old and new generations in order to transmit knowledge, linking the new populations with the key players of the territory (associations, ambassadors for the territory), and encourage citizenship procedures/approachs. → Bringing together the local stakeholders/social-economic players Involve local players in consulting with citizens' expectations and take into account local and European levels: development of sustainable agriculture, networking of clubs and associations, ... → Promoting conviviality through various tools Offer heritage tours and common events on this theme
