A multi-faceted heritage

Through this cooperation, the aim is to put forward a cultural approach of the Bugey by organizing different kinds of events (traditional activities)

The Pays of Bugey has no real folklore and traditions rooted in its territory, but its culture is important. It has an important heritage, both cultural, architectural and environmental. Conviviality is an essential characteristic of Bugey (thats means hospitality, sharing and friendship between people and generations), that must live on and which is at the heart of its Leader strategy. Also, we aim at spreading and sharing this culture of Bugey with partners, providing the implementation of common events, based on conviviality (natural sites visits, meeting with local stakeholders, sharing of practices related to traditional local heritage) or reaching out to them (using an itinerant oven, to convey the image of a mobile and generous culture).

→ Preservation of knowledge and traditions, by enhancing the 'traditional build' heritage, the preservation of verbal traditions and customs and citizens involvement in the passing down of these processes through the generations. → Nature / Cultural actions (themed walking paths or excursions) → Maintaining social cohesion and links between people (networking and supportting of local clubs)
