During the guided tours, the visitors can understand the rare wealth of the polder from the Mount Saint Michel Bay. The history and the building of this house are closely linked to the salt exploitation, a tradition in this region. In the framework of the heritage conservation, the association of local authorities proposes a programme of cultural activities called Echappées Baie intended to promote the House of the Polder.

In order to protect the natural heritage represented by polders, we plan to create a cultural transnational cooperation project with a partner valuing polders. Our aim is to propose other cultural actions first of all to the local population, but also to the tourists, to allow the discovery of another territory with similar characteristics. Thanks to the creation of a common project on the conservation of polders, we would like to disseminate the knowledge about polders by encouraging more intercultural European activities.
