The aim is: - to boost the initiatives undertaken in rural areas (RA) to develop materials & techniques of ecological habitat construction & to make the cooperating territories become experts & models in terms of eco-construction; - to make agriculture become a leader sector in the fight against climate change.

Created in 2003, the association of Pays du Bessin au Virois defined major objectives concerning the local development strategy: promote a coherent development of its territory, exploit the potential for tourism, to maintain the existing population and preserve and promote natural and heritage resources.

Support pilot projects for the production & commercialisation of renewable energies &eco-materials; Support & accelerate the development of practices & farm infrastructure to improve their energy efficiencies; Update the identified issues & actions aiming at supporting sustainable development in RA; Promote the capitalisation of experiences locally & transfer the know-how between RAs; Implement new experiments through the mobilisation of local actors among the project partners.
