Cooperation offer details

Preserving tradition
The idea of the project is to revitalise a chosen historical building & transform it into a community centre of multiple function. It's crucial since we live in the era of “global mcdonaldisation” & youth outflow from villages, (threatens traditional cuisine). The centre will be equipped with facilities enabling individuals to organise presentations on traditional, historical cooking & food making. Tourists visiting the centre can cook a meal & get involved in the process of food making.
The LAG is located in the South of Poland. It covers the area of 388 km2 & it is inhabited by 48 thousand people. The whole area is mainly of agricultural character. The land is mountainous & heavily forested. The two rivers Dunajec & Biała form the backbone of the area & grant it unique characteristics. The area is rich in many objects, monuments & buildings of historical value.
The objective of the project is to renovate a historical building & convert it into a community centre. The centre will serve to local people as a meeting place as well as to students & pupils to organise various workshops & alternative classes. Tourists will also be able to use the centre to learn about the region through various displays & exhibitions. The centre will also collect information on traditional, historical recipes and cooking techniques.
