A group of LAG representatives and journalists from Romania visited the ENRD Contact Point on 4 March 2014. The participants wished to find out about the decision-making process and division of responsibilities between national and European levels and the possibilities to get involved. This meeting also provided opportunities to discuss about how to overcome difficulties in establishing transnational cooperation projects by looking at effectively implemented projects in other EU Member States. The LAG members in particular were interested in becoming more aware of the support from the EU level in the form of useful contacts, project ideas, possible partnerships and financing tools. This visit was part of a series of meetings organised at the European institutions in order to promote the potential of the rural people and areas in Romania.
